Most people think of nanny cams as the main reason for having a covert surveillance system in the home. Hidden surveillance systems also give homeowners piece of mind when they are away from home. If you live alone and travel on your job a system is a must.

A covert surveillance system also gives parents extra layer of protection against criminal behavior. Many parents find surveillance systems useful for monitoring not only nannies but contractors working in their home. Just recently I had a friend that had her stove, washer and dryer stolen while work was being done on the home. The contractors are the prime suspects or the feeling is that they were involved in the theft in some kind of way but it appears there will be no arrests because of no evidence.

A covert surveillance system would have been ideal to catch these crooks. If you have a system in plain sight where the cameras are easily seen the crooks can find ways around them. But covert surveillance systems where the cameras are not obvious are great for catching thieves in the act,especially if you are not home.
